Ingredients:
- 1 can (about 400 g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- Juice of 1-2 lemons, depending on taste
- 3 tablespoons tahini (sesame paste)
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 tablespoons water
- A pinch of paprika and olive oil for serving
Instructions:
- In a blender or food processor, combine chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend the ingredients until the hummus is smooth and creamy. If it’s too thick, you can add a little water gradually and blend again until you achieve the desired consistency.
- Taste the hummus and adjust with more lemon juice, salt, or other spices as needed.
- Serve the hummus in a bowl, sprinkle a little paprika on top, and drizzle with olive oil. You can also garnish with fresh herbs or sesame seeds if desired.
- Serve the hummus with vegetable sticks, pita bread, or as a spread on sandwiches or wraps.
You can also customize the recipe by adding extra flavorings such as roasted bell peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, or fresh herbs if desired.
