Creamy Hummus Recipe

Hummus

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (about 400 g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • Juice of 1-2 lemons, depending on taste
  • 3 tablespoons tahini (sesame paste)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons water
  • A pinch of paprika and olive oil for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Blend the ingredients until the hummus is smooth and creamy. If it’s too thick, you can add a little water gradually and blend again until you achieve the desired consistency.
  3. Taste the hummus and adjust with more lemon juice, salt, or other spices as needed.
  4. Serve the hummus in a bowl, sprinkle a little paprika on top, and drizzle with olive oil. You can also garnish with fresh herbs or sesame seeds if desired.
  5. Serve the hummus with vegetable sticks, pita bread, or as a spread on sandwiches or wraps.

You can also customize the recipe by adding extra flavorings such as roasted bell peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, or fresh herbs if desired.
